Temple boasts a number of commercial centers, most notably along the I-35 corridor, downtown, and at the intersection of H K Dodgen Loop and 31st Street.
The city of Belton lies less than 15 minutes away to the southwest, and the larger Killeen is 30 minutes to the west. Just beyond Killeen is the start of the northern end of Texas Hill Country, while to the east the Blackland Prairie region is home to beautiful green farmland.
