I have spent 34 years in public education in El Paso, Texas where I served as a Special Education Director for the Socorro Independent School District. It was in this position that I learned that my mission in life is the serve others. Through my work with my church, St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church and other organizations, I strive to carry on that tradition of service to others.
I was born in Rochester, New York but moved to Carbondale, Illinois during my high school years. After high school, I attended college in Tucson, Arizona and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education. With my degree completed, I moved to El Paso, Texas for a teaching job. I met my husband at the first school to which I was assigned. We married two years later. Both my husband and I were awarded Masters Degrees at the University of Texas at El Paso. We both spent our careers in El Paso in public education which was truly a wonderful adventure. In addition to my work as a Director, I also taught as an adjunct professor concentrating on special education topics. We have two grown children who live in this area, one in Austin and the other in Kingsbury.
My parents traveled often and directed travel groups mostly in Mexico, Central America, and Spain. Because of that, I have developed a love of travel. My husband and I both enjoy trips overseas and also our trips in our travel trailer. We have decided that there really is so much to see in the USA that we have been trying to get away in the trailer as much as possible.
I am looking forward to starting this new adventure with JBGoodwin. I love real estate and want to help others to find their dream home.
