My husband, Omari, is a retired Navy chief and firearms instructor with the Texas Department of Public Safety, and our “Wonder Twins,” Khoen and Kaedyn, inspire my focus on schools, neighborhoods, and lifestyle. We moved to Texas so my parents, Charles and Bessie, could be near their siblings and I could freely homeschool—so I know relocation, multigenerational living, and navigating change firsthand.
