A Childhood Lesson in Success & Determination

In first grade, I was the shy kid in the back row, gripping my pencil tightly as I tried again and again to earn a gold star that always seemed just out of reach. You know the little star-shaped stickers teachers placed on your school work to show your work was exceptional. One Sunday during a visit to my grandparents, my grandmother took me to the Happy Bazaar to buy candy. To my amazement, there they were in a little brown box, an abundance of stars of all sizes and colors. I suddenly realized the stars I longed for were not magical or reserved only for teachers. I could buy my own stars. That moment changed everything. I handed Frank, the Bazaar owner, all my candy money and asked him to give me as many stars as I could buy. The minute I got home, I covered my schoolbooks with well earned stars. That moment truly defined me. I learned that I could celebrate my own achievements, create my own success, and set my own standard of excellence. Since then, I have carried that mindset into every chapter of my life. Today, that same drive fuels how I show up for my clients. I have spent my life reaching for my own stars, and now I am here to help you reach yours.

Hi, I’m Sonia Green, with JBGoodwin Realtors. Fun Facts

• I was born and raised in Europe, lived many wonderful years in Australia, and now I call Texas my beautiful home.

• We are parents of 3 amazing daughters, 2 incredible sons-in-law, and 6 beautiful grandchildren.

• I speak two languages…plus Australian.

• I play pickleball regularly, competitive enough to care, relaxed enough to laugh when I miss, and I laugh a lot.

• I grew up in the hotel and restaurant world; my parents and grandparents owned both. I learned how to do a perfect bed corner fold at age 8, and the standard has remained very high ever since.

• I’ve lived in 4 different countries, which gives me a unique understanding of relocation, lifestyle needs, and property value from a global perspective.

I’m married to the love of my life and business partner, Andrew, and together we’re the Green Team, a service-driven real estate duo focused on helping individuals and families navigate one of life’s biggest decisions with confidence and ease. Our global experiences and shared adventures give us deep insight into the challenges and excitement of finding a home.
