Linda Knebel

I am a native Texan and have been in Austin for 45 years. I graduated from the University of Texas in 1986. I love this city and have seen Austin grow to a place I would never have believed possible. I appreciate the growth and have learned so much being in the Real Estate World, and I am thrilled to be a Realtor with JB Goodwin.

I have been married to Ken Knebel, an Aggie, for 26 years. Kenny is a UPS Pilot for 34 years and flies around the world. We have two Aggie sons that both graduated from Texas A & M like their dad. Our oldest son is married to his Highschool sweetheart, my beautiful Daughter in Law, and together they have had our two Granddaughters. Our youngest son is currently getting his Masters Degree in Real Estate at Texas A & M in the Mays Business School. We all have a passion for Real Estate.  Let me remind you that I went to The University of Texas... Hook Em Horns!

I retired from American Airlines as a Flight Attendant and continue to love traveling. I was on the Founding Team as Director of Sales for Open Arms, where we hired Refugee Women and paid them a living wage to make apparel out of recycled materials.

I opened Surachi Designs, where we created Caps and Visors for the Outdoor Active Woman, this was created because of the multiple skin cancers I endured on my face and body from growing up in the Sunshine City of Austin and wanting to help others to protect themselves from the sun rays. I love the outdoors and continue to play Tennis, Pickleball, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Hiking, Water & Snow Skiing.

I am on the Board of Directors at Brookwood in Georgetown, I have a passion for the Citizens at BIG and for Special Needs children and adults. I am a member of The Assistance League of Austin, have been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was President of Lake Pointe HOA Board of Directors at Lake Pointe Neighborhood where we have lived for 24 years. I had the parks built in Lake Pointe and have been the head of the Parks Committee since 1999 since we moved into the neighborhood. I have served on many Fundraising Boards and Committees at Lake Pointe Elementary, Lake Travis Middle School, Lake Travis Foundation, St. Gabriels, St. Michael's Catholic Academy and Emmaus Catholic Church. I volunteered to run the Street Retreat at St. Michael's Catholic Academy with the Junior Students, where we took the students to the streets of Austin to learn how to interact and work with the Homeless Community. I continued to do this each Fall & Spring until Covid stopped the activity altogether.

I have always been involved in my Church and my Son's Schools throughout the years.
