Janet Qiu

I grew up in Qingtao, a coastal city in China, rich in history and cultural influences from Germany and Japan. My childhood was filled with vivid memories—swimming along the seashore, competing for the darkest tan during summer, racing bicycles down steep streets, and admiring blooming flowers in private gardens as I walked on the way back from school. Back then, I dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer, a volleyball player, and even a fashion designer. Instead, I found myself immersed in the world of Urban Event Planning, Office Management, and later, Interior Design. I had the privilege of working on diverse projects, including offices, restaurants, schools, and residential spaces, all while living in a 13th-floor apartment in Shenzhen, where I could gaze across the mountains at Hong Kong.

After living in Shanghai and Beijing, I found my way to Austin, a city that instantly felt like home. I was captivated by its calm, creative energy, and the warm, welcoming people who embrace possibilities with open arms. It didn’t take long to realize that my personal values and rhythms were perfectly aligned with the heartbeat of this city, and now, my blood flows with the Colorado River. I have truly become an Austinite at heart, and I’m proud to call this vibrant city my home.

Outside of real estate, I’m passionate about music, nature, the arts, and travel. I cherish friendship, health, and love. I’m deeply committed to sharing experiences and curating personalized spaces that make life more comfortable, meaningful, and fulfilling.
