Jake Salinas

David Jacob Salinas epitomizes integrity, energy and hard work. I will bring these traits into every aspect of your real estate transaction. 

I grew up in the San Antonio area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.  In 1985, I joined the United States Army and proudly served my country as a 12B Combat Engineer, Demolition Specialist.  At the end of my Army Career, I continued my military service by becoming a United States Marine.  As a Marine, I changed career paths from demolitions to aviation maintenance, becoming a helicopter mechanic and obtaining my FAA Certifications for the Airframe and Power Plant ratings that allow me to legally maintain all aircraft in the United States.    

After leaving active duty in 1994, I came back home to San Antonio where I continued my career as an aircraft mechanic in the private sector.  I continued to further challenge myself by obtaining the FAA Inspection Authorization and a Private Pilot’s license for Rotorcraft.

Although much of my career was not spent in real estate, my military training and private sector employment - where there is no room for error - I gained the necessary focus and attention to detail ensuring that all clients will benefit with a smooth and informative transaction.

I am married to my wife Kathy and together we have four children.  Our daughter currently works as a Graduate Coordinator for Texas Engineering Executive Education at University of Texas, Austin.  Our oldest son is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.  Our two youngest boys are still in school.  My family and I also raise cattle on a ranch South of San Antonio and enjoy the country life.
