I was raised in Lockhart, TX., on barbecue and tradition. I learned the value of working hard and taking pride in a job well done at a young age while working in my family’s award-winning barbecue restaurant. My parents brought me to Austin, "the big city", for shopping, movies, and eating out. I’ve always loved Austin, TX., and finally moved here in 1997. I have seen Austin grow and change, but the city has never lost the beautiful character that makes this city unique.
I enjoy helping people and became a Special Education teacher. I educated people who were in middle school, high school, and college who had learning challenges. After 5 years, I realized that I wanted to work in a corporate setting, so I made a career change and moved to Charles Schwab. I started as a stockbroker and helped people invest their money by educating investors about the stock market. I was promoted to Training Manager and was responsible for training Financial Advisors and creating their training materials. I loved being able to help clients and the company by educating people and helping them learn the skills they needed to be successful investors and employees. I trained Financial Advisors to have empathy and to see through the clients' eyes, listen to the clients' needs, understand their full financial situation, and put the client first.
My dream job was always to work in real estate. So here I am, helping people and loving the business of real estate and putting clients first. I am the REALTOR® I would want. My goal is to listen to my clients’ needs and respond correctly, ask questions and clarify, educate people on transactions and communicate clearly complicated situations, and make the process easier. My job is to help people and I love it.
