Hello! I’m David DeFranco, REALTOR® and proud member of the JBGoodwin family here in Austin, Texas.

I spent two decades in the corporate world as a marketer and consultant, helping enterprises understand, choose, implement, and optimize technology platforms designed to help them talk to their customers.  Now I bring the same consultative approach to residential real estate.

Personal:
I was born and raised in northeast Ohio, grew up backpacking and camping, and traveling a bit do both!
I served 4 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps before attending The Ohio State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

I met the love of my life just after college and moved with her to Southern California, where we got married and had our first child.  A few years later, we took our small family back to Central Ohio, bought our first home, and had our second child.  Then in 2012, we made the move here to the Austin area, bought our second home, and had our third child. (Thaaat's right...  Three.)  Our kids attend (or have graduated from) the fantastic Lake Travis ISD schools, participated in youth sports, and learned to play music!  More recently, we adopted a clever orange cat named Colby J. Cheez who will swipe your snacks and steal your heart, if you let him.   

I love to cook, enjoy traveling, and still like to hike and camp, though I spend most of my free time supporting my kids’ activities and interests - from robotics and rocketry competitions, to band and orchestra concerts, and driving all over the state for swim meets and mountain bike races!  I also love to bore my kids with impromptu lectures about pre-turn-of-the-century pop culture (and other "ancient history") and never pass up the opportunity to crack a “dad joke” or share a silly meme (...no matter how much they roll their eyes)!
