Giving back is at the very foundation of what makes our warm Texan culture so extraordinary. Our Realtors® staff, clients, friends, and family come together throughout the year to help fundraise and volunteer for organizations that make a lasting impact on our community.
Some of our favorite moments from our Giving Back program at JBGoodwin:
The Salvation Army
Since 1996, JBGoodwin Realtors® have worked with The Salvation Army Austin to serve their annual Thanksgiving Community Meal.
The Salvation Army works with local volunteers, organizations, and community partners to serve a special holiday meal for hundreds of neighbors in need at their downtown shelter. Last year, they served more 400,000 meals through holiday meals and during their daily meals. If you would like to join us at the next Thanksgiving meal, contact our local Salvation Army !
Coats For Kids
Every year since 1997, we join the Junior League of Austin for their Coats For Kids initiative. To-date, we have collected thousands of warm winter coats for Central Texas children in need.
On Coats For Kids Distribution Day, JBGoodwin Realtors® join volunteers to help parents and kids select just the right coat for them. We stay at the distribution center until every family is served. If you would like to donate a warm winter coat for the next event, contact us and together we can keep Central Texas kids warm this winter!
We Are Blood Drive
We proudly host a neighborhood blood drive with We Are Blood (formerly The Blood Center of Central Texas) to ensure that our community has a thriving local supply of life-saving blood.
Our staff, family, friends, and community neighbors having been joining JBGoodwin Realtors® for nearly a decade to line up at the mobile donation center to donate blood. There are friendly nurses and volunteers on hand to make sure every potential donor has their chance to give. Race For The Cure
The "Goodwin Gladiators" proudly participate in the Susan G. Komen® Race For The Cure. In 2018 we doubled our fundraising goals and were among both the Top Teams and Top Corporate Teams.
Susan G. Komen® is a grassroots, Austin-based nonprofit that is committed to "saving lives locally and fighting breast cancer globally." They are the only local organization to attack breast cancer on all fronts - find out how you can join them in the fight against breast cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
JBGoodwin Realtors®, staff, friends, and family proudly join thousands of volunteers and community members in the annual PurpleStride Walk to End Pancreatic Cancer.
PanCan has been a national leader in fundraising initiatives in support of scientific research, patient services, government advocacy, and community engagement. Help them reach their goal to double pancreatic cancer survival rates by 2020.
Central Texas Food Bank
Throughout the year, JBGoodwin Realtors® helps to fight hunger by collecting and donating thousands of meals to the Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB).
The CTFB works with corporate and community partners to fill unmet needs in Central Texas. "Putting good food within reach," they bring 45 million meals to our community each year. Find our more about CTFB services or ways that you can support the CTFB in their hunger-relief movement.
